2024-2025年FAFSA文件更新

Rhode Island College has begun awarding eligible new students 金融援助 for 2024–25. Students will be 电子邮件ed when their financial aid award is available in the MyRIC学生中心. 

We are grateful for your patience as we continue to work through the 2024-2025 Free Application for 联邦学生资助 (FAFSA) delays.

If you have not done so already, we strongly encourage you to 完成2024-2025年FAFSA 尽快. You may check the status of your FAFSA application by logging in to 联邦学生资助 并导航到“我的活动”.  Please respond promptly to any correspondence you receive from the College or the Department of Education to complete your financial aid application.

How We're Supporting Our Students During these Delays

We are encouraging every student to 完成2024-2025年FAFSA by following these steps: 

1. Create a FSA ID on the 联邦学生资助 website. 的 财政援助办公室 is here to assist students, as well as other contributors: parents or spouses in creating a FSA ID.
   • A FSA ID is an account and password that provides access to the 联邦学生资助’s online system and serves as the electronic signature.
   • 有FSA ID, 学生可以填写FAFSA, 签署主本票(MPN), 申请还款计划, 完整的贷款咨询, and use the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Help Tool.
2. 使用 联邦学生援助估计 看看有多少 联邦学生资助 a student may be eligible for, starting with the 2024–2025 award year. Rhode Island College’s Federal School Code is 003407.
   • This tool estimates the Student Aid Index (SAI) for the 2024–2025 award year. 的 Student Aid Index (SAI) is the new name for Expected Family Contribution (EFC), which you may be familiar with from previous years.

• If any contributor does not provide their consent the Student Aid Index (SAI) will not be calculated, and we will not be able to determine your eligibility for financial aid.

• Students can list up to 20 schools on their FAFSA via the online application.

• Resources for completing the FAFSA form will be expanded to the 11 most common languages spoken in the United States.
